Oil Drum Art was launched with 110 used drums in 2003 by its founder, Jack Lardis.

55-Gallon oil drums are available by:

  • Purchasing a safe and nontoxic open-top drum through the yellow pages under "Barrels and Drums" or "Junk Dealers" ? (Note: the drums must be certified to be safe and nontoxic)
  • Calling your local Parks & Recreation Department and asking them for their drum source
  • Going to the Internet under “Metal Barrels & Drums.â€? Used drums can be shipped to you. Prices vary depending on our location.
  • Ordering a drum from Oil Drum Art at $50 unfinished or $75 primed, plus shipping & handling. (Varies based on distance)
